I just want to say that I have never been grounded in my life and it’s been my ongoing struggle, so this isn’t advice, more just tips I’ve acquired along the way:
The most important thing is don’t ever leave the land your indigenous ancestors were historically connected to
Regularly do embodiment practises like qi gong, dance, martial arts, tai chi, yoga, pilates and so on. Get out of your mind and into your body
Hard physical exercise really puts you back in your body
Sex
Walking barefoot in nature
Gardening
Defecation
Clear trauma on a somatic level to the best of your ability through whatever means work for you. Trauma remains trapped on a physical level within your body, which prevents you from becoming fully embodied. This can then result in a lot of your energy being trapped in the mental region
Don’t do heaps of psychedelics all the time in an irresponsible way
Some medicines are very grounding, e.g., Kambo, tobacco, San Pedro and large doses of Iboga. One to three beers is quite grounding too
Try your best to live in one place. Put some roots down
Get a regular routine happening
If you live in a clean enough area, consume the native food, medicine and water of that area, as it will connect you more deeply to the land
Certain foods are very grounding. Meat, root vegetables, garlic, onion and spicy food can help you ground if you are too scattered
Get a job
Have a kid. This can be very grounding, but if it doesn’t ground you, then you can potentially really fuck up a kid’s life
Don’t live in a hot air balloon
